Commercial architecture and retail design is a growing area of expertise at Karreman+Associates. The firm has undertaken multiple projects for new prototype retail designs as well as participated in large mixed use building projects. We pride ourselves in the diversity of our projects- from up scale skin clinics and spas to animal care and shelter facilities. Residential architecture remains a core discipline at Karreman+Associates. We take pride in the homes we have designed in various Puget Sound communities, ranging from Seattle and the Eastside to Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Peninsula. We thrive on the challenges of working in the unique context of each community. Restaurant design has provided an added dimension to our portfolio. “Fast casual” restaurants and unique coffee outlets are a specialty at Karreman+Associates. We have designed dining and coffee establishments in the Seattle region and for international clients and locations in Belgium and South Korea. Founding Principal Frank Karreman has practiced architecture and completed projects in the Seattle area and Pacific Far East since arriving from Philadelphia in 1985. After his role as a project designer at NBBJ Architecture, Frank served as a regional project manager and store designer for Starbucks Coffee Company before establishing Karreman+Associates in 1996.
