A 1400 sf carriage house addition, including home office, well house
and garage, complements the existing New England style residence. Additional
work includes a substantial kitchen remodel, adjacent porch, master suite
remodel, and upstairs bedroom expansion.
Woolever Remodel, Bainbridge
Island, WA.
A 1500 sf addition and extensive remodel of an existing residence into
an intimate home with craftsman features. A new two story garage is included
on the 2.5 acre property.
Elmquist Residence, Port Blakely, Bainbridge
Island, WA.
A new 3500 s.f. waterfront residence positioned on a 5 acre wooded site.
The plan features vaulted living spaces with beaded ceilings, natural
materials on the interior and exterior, and a wrap around porch supported
by peeler log columns.
Miller Pettit Remodel, Hood Canal, WA
The existing 2000 s.f. residence expanded to a 2400 s.f. home with the
addition of a master suite and garage and the remodeling of the existing
structure to take advantage of expansive waterfront views.
Lessard Residence,
Woodinville, WA
This new 2400 s.f. home, located near a lake in Woodinville, is situated
on its small site to ensure maximum privacy from three adjoining roads
and to create opportunities for gardening and recreation. The residence
is patterned after the bungalow prototype to follow a personal desire
on the part of the owners and to relate to the low scale context of the
surrounding neighborhood.
Karreman
Remodel, Bainbridge Island, WA
The 2800 s.f. residence was lifted six and a half feet in order to
provide a new lower floor and to enhance views of adjacent tidelands
from the
upper stories. The remodel followed the construction of a new garage,
painting studio, and perennial flower garden as part of a master site
development plan.
Schubach-Zimney Garage and Remodel, Bainbridge Island,
WA
The new 800 s.f. garage and studio was angled from the existing structure
to provide a foreground space for an entry garden. New clear-finished
wood siding ties new to old and provides a natural backdrop for new plantings
and a water feature set amongst rock outcroppings.
Nimb Studio and Garage,
Bainbridge Island, WA.
The new 1200 s.f. accessory structure provides a work environment and
office for a home business. The exterior features wood lap siding milled
from trees felled on site. A steel walkway facilitates the movement of
heavy equipment into the studio or down to garage storage below

Residence, Bainbridge Island, WA.
A 4000 s.f. remodel consisting of new living room and bed room wing additions,
renovated master bath, enlarged dining room, and stair hall. The design
takes maximum advantage of sweeping views of Elliot Bay from virtually
all of its rooms.
Behar Residence, Mercer Island, WA.
Interior remodeling and addition for a contemporary hillside home. The
project includes remodeling the master suite, media room, expanded deck
areas, and a new exercise room and connection with the existing house.

Remodeling of 2000 s.f. residence for vacationing and entertaining
purposes. Work includes a new kitchen, master bath, fireplace, and
interior refinishing
to a new contemporary color and material palette.

Residence, Sequim WA.
A new 2400 s.f. summer residence and garage on an open 5-acre site
bordering the Straits of Juan de Fuca. The house is organized around
an informal
open plan with a generous master suite and upstairs library.

Rolling Bay Bainbridge Island, WA.
A 1500 s.f. residential remodel and garden design that recreated links
between the house and landscape, expansive views over Elliot Bay, and
landscape features such as an orchard, amphitheater, herb, and “secret” gardens.

Residence, Port Madison Bainbridge Island, WA.
A new 3000 s.f. waterfront residence positioned on a small and restricted
site. The plan features broad views from all main living spaces, natural
materials on the interior and exterior, and a vaulted second floor
play room.
